As I reflected on what MY perfect vacation looked like, what self care looks like to me and how could I combine these things, I asked myself, what feelings do I have when I feel my best and what experiences contribute to these feelings? I realized that my perfect vacation allows me to feel:

   Free - Nourished - Liberated - Relaxed - Active - Playful

As I reflected more on this, The Balanced Experience came to fruition and before I knew it, my new passion for curating retreats was born. The Balanced Experience consists of the same elements that create my perfect holiday: some sort of daily fitness, exploring new locations through adventure like hiking, surfing or cycling for example. Eating delicious and nutritious food and sampling local cuisine. Relaxation through yoga, beach time, journaling or reflection of some sort. And last but certainly not least... it consists of being playful, trying new things,  meeting great people and enjoying lots of laughs over cocktails. My goal with The Balanced Experience is to help all our guests achieve these same feelings that I so love to experience while I am travelling.

We are looking for individuals who are keen to move, play, and love to explore and meet other like minded people. Your fitness level is not important, all workouts and adventures are tailored to your needs and abilities. The only criteria is your desire to have FUN!
You will be hosted by a unique, FUN and knowledgeable team to guide you through your week. What makes us different is that our retreat teams consists of individuals who have dedicated their careers and education to health and wellness. The Balanced Experience team has physical therapists, kinesiologists and nutritionists to name a few. 

What you can expect...

A typical day in the life of The Balanced Experience starts around 8am with a quick but effective HIIT workout on the pool deck or beach, followed by poolside fresh pressed juice and a delicious vegan breakfast. 
Next, we’ll pack our things and head out on a local adventure such as surf lessons, stand-up paddle boarding or hiking. Most afternoons will be free time where you can explore town, have some down time on the beach or choose your own adventure. 
We will reconvene in the early evening for our delicious in-house prepared vegan dinner. We’ll wrap up the day  with rooftop, candlelit yoga under the stars or some gentle self care like rolling or stretching, followed by a cheeky margarita or cerveza as a night cap (option of course).

From $2199 CAD per person double occupancy and $2499 single occupancy. A deposit of $500 will be required to hold your place for The Balanced Experience. The remainder of the fee will be due 90 days prior to the beginning of the trip. Payment plans are available on request. Your flight is not included.
