FAQ Services
What is your cancellation policy.
While we do understand that life happens, late cancellations and no-shows leave a gap in a practitioner’s schedule that could have been filled by another client in need. As such, TBC has adopted a 48 hour cancellation policy. Cancellations within 48 hours of your appointment are subject to a cancellation fee. All no-shows will be charged the full amount of the appointment.
What is Trauma-Informed work?
Trauma-Informed work recognizes the presence of trauma symptoms and acknowledges the role trauma may play in an individual’s experience and how it may be affecting their body. Our practitioners are aware that many symptoms clients experience are in fact nervous system responses to trauma and our practitioners view all clients as a whole and not as a cluster of symptoms.
What is your Waitlist policy?
If you are a returning client and unable to find an appointment time that suits your needs, adding yourself to the waitlist is a great option as there are often cancellations. We honour the waiting list in our Jane booking software first and book clients in the order of the waiting list in Jane. If you are a new client and cannot find a time in Jane to book your first appointment, please contact the TBC team at hello@thebalancedcollective.com to have your name placed on our in-house waitlist with your desired practitioner.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Please wear something comfortable that you can move in, if possible — and if you are comfortable — wear something that allows you to expose the injured area during your physiotherapy appointment. For example, shorts if we are working on your knee or ankle, or a tank top if we are working on your shoulder. Naturally, this is entirely up to your comfort level, so please wear what makes you feel best!
How do you use photos from events for content?
Consent is a biggie for us here at TBC and all images from events have received consent from those in the images to be displayed. We collect waivers and consent forms from all guests at retreats and events prior to placing anything on our website. We honor and respect the privacy of anyone who does not want to be photographed.
How does TBC support Communities?
TBC gives back to the community and to the planet by donating 1% of all profits to organizations committed to reversing climate change such as Protect our Winters Canada.
Do you direct bill to extended health insurance companies?
TBC offers direct billing to most extended health insurance companies for eligible services. We also offer direct billing to ICBC with a valid case number. We do not provide direct billing to WorkSafe BC.
What form of payment do you take?
TBC offers payment through credit cards (including Visa, Mastercard and AMEX) or Interac e-transfer.
